L’istallazione permanente, situata nella splendida Villa Contarini a Piazzola sul Brenta, accompagna lo spettatore alla scoperta delle Ville Venete tramite un’esperienza immersiva nella quale potrà percorrere il territorio della regione Veneto alla ricerca di luoghi magici e nascosti.  Il viaggio inizia grazie ad una mappa interattiva proiettata a pavimento dove il visitatore può entrare spostandosi da un luogo all’altro, esplorando il territorio con una lente di ingrandimento virtuale.

L’esplorazione lo porterà ad imbattersi nei luoghi in cui sono ubicate le principali Ville. Posizionandovi sopra la lente attiverà sullo schermo panoramico una serie di contenuti video e multimediali. I documentari forniranno informazioni geografiche e architettoniche relative alle Ville Venete ma anche approfondimenti riguardo agli eventi culturali, storico-politici, alle attività produttive e commerciali, agli usi e ai costumi associati alla tradizione veneta.

ISTRUZIONI:

1. •entrare uno alla volta nella mappa  interattiva
   

2. •si attiverà una lente di ingrandimento con la quale esplorare il territorio
   

3. •posizionare la lente su una villa per attivare un breve documentario informativo
   

4. •per fermare il video andare sulla posizione stop

This interactive installation, created for Villa Contarini near Padua, will lead you to discover the Villas in Veneto through an exciting immersive experience where you can explore the region’s architectural and cultural heritage.

The journey begins with an interactive floor-projected map. You can step in and explore it with a virtual magnifying glass, coming across a selection of the many historic Villas that can be visited in the Region.

When you position the lens on one of the  villas marked on the map you will activate short video documentaries on the panoramic screen. These are created with materials from Veneto Region’s photographic archives and provide geographical and architectural information on the Villas, as well as insights on the culture, history, production and trade activities, customs and traditions of the territory.

       

While watching the videos you can move around freely or rest in the seating area provided and you can stop the videos at any time by stepping onto the stop position.

The installation was designed and produced by artist duo Andrea Santini and Francesca Sarah Toich and commissioned by The Veneto Region’s Institute for Ville Venete in the context of Expo 2015.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. •enter the interactive map one at a time
   

2. •a magnifying glass will appear allowing you to explore the region
   

3. •position the lens over a Villa to activate a short video documentary
   

4. •go to the stop position to interrupt video playback
